Marlene worked as a Corporate Tax Accountant for Hospital Corporation of America before coming home to raise her two children. She sensed a calling to begin to get engaged in the governmental arena, and developed a passion for governmental intercession and a desire to see God’s plans and purposes accomplished in our government.

She has been dedicated to interceding for and enacting with governmental leaders in order to impact cities, states and our nation. Enlisting, encouraging, and mobilizing effective governmental intercessors in the state of Tennessee have been a part of the vision for the TN Governmental Prayer Alliance, which she has directed for the past seven years.

Marlene has led and coordinated prayer initiatives for many years at the city, county, and state level and led teams in Washington D.C. to meet with governmental leaders and pray at key places in our nation’s capitol. At the heart of her ministry is a desire to serve all those in authority through prayer regardless of party or political persuasion. She currently leads Watchman on the Wall in the TN State Capitol each week and works with governmental leaders across the state to determine how they can best be served through prayer.

She has served as the Chairman of the Williamson County National Day of Prayer; coordinated Pastor’s Prayer Breakfasts and other community activities; served on the Board of Directors for various other ministries and served on the Board of Deacons for New Hope Community Church. Currently, she serves as the event coordinator for the annual Governor’s Prayer Breakfast.

Marlene resides with her husband of 25 years. They are the parents of two adult children.
