I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Hello, I am Thomas Otley, Co-founder and Director of Confluence Prayer Ministries, MO State Prayer Leader for the Governors' Prayer Team and MO State Director for the National Day of Prayer.  I am writing on behalf of my wife, Mary Ann, and our children, Tommy, Johnny, and Sarah as we have been called to serve the Lord through Confluence Prayer Ministries.

Confluence Prayers Ministries began in 2004 through a series of events during which God revealed His power and His heart for His church to Mary Ann and me.  The schisms in His church grieve Him and He desires reconciliation, healing and unity in the body of Christ.  His desire is for pastors and church leaders to follow after Him, being good shepherds who lead their flocks in prayer.  His desire is for His people to pray, seek His face, and repent.  His promise is that He will heal our land.

God's spirit is moving in many places around the world, across this great nation, and throughout Missouri.  Many have been called to prayer and are seeking His face and earnestly desiring to know His heart.  Numerous streams of prayer are being lifted up to the Lord.  From major prayer ministries, entire denominations, local churches, and individual intercessors, we as a people are beginning to cry out to our God.  Confluence Prayer Ministries has been called to serve by helping unite these prayer streams into a great river of prayer.

Confluence Prayer Ministries actively serves the Governor's Prayer Team, National Day of Prayer, Global Day of Prayer, United States Strategic Prayer Network, and other prayer ministries.

Our mission is three-fold: (1) To pray,  (2) To unite prayer ministries and intercessors, and (3) to encourage pastors to pray and lead their flocks in prayer.

The Governor's Prayer Team, in addition to praying for leaders across our state, is dedicated to taking back the land according to His plan and for His purposes.  During the formative stages of our nation's birth and childhood, ground was consecrated and chapels were dedicated for holy purposes.  When the foundations of our nation were laid, chapels were placed in state capitols, state houses, county court houses, and in city halls.  During our nation's adolescence, many of these chapels were abandoned and holy ground has been temporarily lost.  The Governor's Prayer Team is engaged in a strategic effort to identify former chapels across Missouri and rededicate them for His purpose.
