Jeff is an ordained bishop with the Church of God whose international headquarters is in Cleveland, Tennessee. He as held positions with Harbison-Walker Refractories Dresser Industries, and J.M. Huber Corporation engineered minerals division. Jeff accepted the call to ministry in 1982 and attended Lee University as a pastoral studies major.He then began serving as youth pastor in 1984. He ministered in that congregation for over eight years.
In 1993 Jeff received an appointment as pastor of the Victory Temple Church of God in Calhoun, Georgia where he continues to serve today. Jeff also ministers as a volunteer chaplain at the local hospital.
From1995 until 2005 he was on the board of the North Georgia Lee University Alumni Association, serving as president from 2003 until 2005.
Jeff experienced a deeper level of prayer than he had ever known after attending a pastor's prayer summit in 2001. Since that time Jeff has attended other prayer summits and also received prayer summit facilitator training through International Renewal Ministries. Jeff has shared this experience with the men of his congregation by providing opportunities for prayer retreats with them.
Bishop lives in Northwest Georgia near Adairsville with his wife, Renee. Jeff and Renee have two daughters, Jenifer and Brooke. They also have two grandchildren Spenser and Anabelle.
