Romans 5:5  “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.”
            Sherry Nicholson has been involved in ministry for 19 years. She currently serves along with her husband, Steve,  as Youth Pastor at Bethel Community Church. She has been apart of helping to plant 2 churches.She was Director of Intercessory Prayer for the Church of God National Church Planting Office. She served under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Michael Knight and Youth Pastor Ron Jones at Covenant Community Church, where she was the Youth Dance/Drama Director for team “Benaiah Generation.”
             Sherry attended Victory Leadership Institute in Nashville, TN. She has traveled the Amazon with mission outreaches in Brazil. Sherry was the Eph4 Conference W.I.N. (World Intercessors Network) Director. She is a licensed minister with the Church of God Denomination. Sherry has also worked as a counselor for the Door of Hope, a pregnancy crisis center for teens in her home town. She is a conference speaker and has been a guest on Day-Star Television. She recently served in the hurricane relief efforts for Katrina victims in the Astrodome and along the Gulf Coast in Mississippi and Texas.
             Sherry accepted Jesus at age 8.  But through tragedies in her life she never had a relationship with God the Father until her life took a dramatic change in 1991.   At the age of 24 she found the amazing love and healing power of a Glorious Savior. That encounter with such “LOVE” took an abandoned, abused little girl and transformed her into a free, whole, and healed daughter of God.
             To learn more about prayer for our nation Sherry has met with the Public Liaison, in the Executive Branch for President Bush on the “National Day of Prayer.”  Knowing the power of prayer to transform lives and circumstances, Sherry’s desire is to see pastors and intercessors develop strong united prayer for their families, churches, and nation.  She is dedicated to help strengthen the prayer shield around the leadership of our Nation and the churches as they endeavor to fulfill the vision and purposes of God in which they have been called.  She is passionate about training up the next generation of prayer warriors to be full of the Word of God according to Eph 3: 14-20.  She believes in a deep commitment to the Word, for it is the Word that has the power to save, set free, change, and transform all who encounter the “WORD.”
            Sherry’s greatest accomplishment and joy is her family. She is the wife of Stephen Nicholson who himself is an ordained minister.  Altogether they have six children, five sons; Curtis, Corey, Billy, Cody, Jesse and one daughter; Chelsey. Sherry home schools Jesse and Chelsey who are involved in youth ministry.
